The Concaves have played live
radio shows, are featured in two Santa Cruz television surf shows, and
five of their original songs are featured in the Pat Farley
Surf-Documentary "Cowell's and the New Millennium" which won the New
York Film Festival's "Best Sports Documentary Award". Their
vocal and instrumentals are modern emotional, passionate, soulful, hard
rock. Matt Damon of the Good Times Newspaper put The
Concaves first CD "Warning Heavy Surf Advisory" on his "Best of 2004"
List. Their music is high energy driven moody , moving and passionate. The Concaves have played numerous venues in and around Santa Cruz and elsewhere. In 2003 they played two live performances at The San Jose Museum of Cultural Art for the grand Opening of The Surf Culture "The Art History of Surfing" show. They were applauded by surf celebrities from around the world and local luminaries as well. They played three shows at the Cocoanut Grove for the showing of the surf documentary "Cowell's and the New Millennium to large crowds and also again for the Surfers for Katrina Benefit.
